A logo is the cornerstone of a brand. People are able to recognize a brand at a glance. Just think of all the logos sticking up on signs by the highway. You know exactly what business is at the base of that sign by the logo alone. Such a small graphic contains a large amount of information. A good logo sets the tone, color, aesthetic and very often summarizes the type of business. A rule of thumb is if a logo or icon looks good in black and white and even in silhouette, you have done well. I try my very best to meet the aforementioned criteria for my designs. Though some clients may be difficult to persuade, I try to educate my clients on the impact a logo can make.

______

Culture Records | Private Client
A recording studio in Austin approached me with a desire for a retro inspired logo that would be used on media, merchandise and in their social media. Below is a summary of the design options and client requested changes.

Round 2 Client Options
Final Logos and Social Media Icons
______

Diamond Fuzz Distortion Pedals | Private Client
These are style and color variations of the Diamond Fuzz logo. I created a visual representation of the ZZ sound and also incorporated a diamond shape to tie-in the first part of the brand name.
______

Reverie Bakeshop | Private Client
The client wanted an image based logo which can often be problematic in certain applications so I encouraged them to consider the option below and they were absolutely pleased. The logo is in use for letterhead, signage and social media. Side note: Their baked goods are fantastic! You would never know they are completely vegan. Visit them in Richardson, Texas.
______

C0DEG!G Web Development | Private Client
The client had a vision of a happy little robot mascot that he wanted integrated into the logo and icons. I came up with Codi the robot to fulfill that request. A full illustration of Codi can be seen in my illustration section.
______

Tabella Studio | Private Client
These are variant options presented to a start-up web design studio. The client did not want the logo to be too techy and cold but rather warm and friendly. The design at the top was the approved final.
______

AGU Altair Global University | Altair Global
As Senior Graphic Designer, I was asked to create a collegiate inspired logo for an internal education initiative. Below are two of the options presented. The left one is the final approved logo.
______

XcelRx Pharmacy Services | Private Client
These are two variant options presented to the client. The concept for these was to create a pictoral mark that resembles a chemical compound and for the word mark to have a professional clinical feel. The final logos, not shown here, went in a less appealing direction but the client was very happy with them.
______

Sadal Cancer Medication | Karyopharm
Below are several variants made during the concept phase. One concept was that the compounds in this new medication were small enough to enter tiny openings in cell walls much like a key in a lock. The other concept was one of hope through the representation of a sunrise.
______

Azul Winery | Private Client
The client has a passion for the blues and had plans to play the blues over an outdoor speaker system in the vineyard. I knew I wanted to incorporate this endearing quirk into the logo. I ended up altering the Z to resemble a music note. The client was very pleased. Unfortunately, their vineyard and winery is still under development and partners are also considering another name for the business.
______

Video Game Logos and Iconography | Soldak Entertainment
Below are many examples of logos and illustrated icons from several games that represent various clans, abilities, inventory items, status effects, etc.
______

Super Nova | Internal Team at Bank of America
These are three variant options presented to a start-up company. The concept was to really play up the radiant energy and explosive power of a real supernova and try to capture that in the logo.
______

Creative Greetings Handmade Cards | Private Client
The client had a quirky and light hearted tone to her business model and I helped her capture that in this logo for her business.
______

Executive Search Group and CFO Search Inc. | Private Client
These are variant options presented to a start-up recruiting and career placement company based in Dallas specializing in higher office job-seekers. At the time, the company was trying to decide between the two names and wanted to pursue both logo paths to help make that decision.
______

South Padre Imports, LLC | Private Client
This logo and variations were developed for an import company in South Padre, Texas. The client had an affinity for nautical history and exploration so I helped to infuse that passion into the brand.
